OPEN FIRE MANAGEMENT

Open Fire cooking has been around as long as cooking!

Never cook on Flames, Always wait till the fire has died down and turned to coals.

Then you can manage the distance from the fire to the food, there are a number of ways to do this, most are about the physical distance the food is from the fire either vertically or off to the side.

You can also manage the fire with a shovel or a poker.

Move the coals around to maintain the heat you want

Throw cash on the coals or spray with water to reduce the intensity of the heat.
