Project Description
For Low N Slow cooking in a PK, the Fuse or “Snake” method works perfectly well.
It’s easy to setup and runs on temperature automatically!
I’m cooking Beef ribs for this demo

Start by laying a track of two beads side be side around the end and down one side of the PK
Lay one bead flat on top of the first four
Then start leaning beads against the flat one domino style

Keep laying the angled beads along the Fuse stopping a couple of beads from the starting end

Place your Drip pan
Add some chunks of wood for smoke if you want

Light 6-8 beads and place them on the start of the Fuse

This Fuse burnt for 8 hours at constant temperature
The vent over the Ribs was open and the bottom vent at the other end was open.
If you are confused by which Charcoal or Briquette fuel to use for what, read this fact sheet.
