The unique design is the key to the extraordinary versatility of the Masterbuilt Gravity Series. Each unit is Digitally controlled for exacting control of temperature. The fan blows a controlled volume of air into the Fire tower to control the rate at which the charcoal burns. The fuel sits in an airtight tower, the fire is burning at the base of the tower. The charcoal in the tower cannot catch fire as the tower has no oxygen so only the charcoal at the base of the tower is alight and this is controlled by the fan. Ash from the fire falls into the ash bucket below. To increase the Smoke, place your smoking wood in the ash bucket where the falling ash will start to smoulder it, this smoke passes through the fire and mixes with the heat. This heat and smoke feeds into the cooking chamber.
Masterbuilt 1050 Dimensions This Masterbuilt Gravity Feed charcoal smoker measures 1500mm (52″) tall, 1320mm wide, and 840mm deep. There are two 8″ wheels on the hopper end the unit and two 3″ locking swivel casters are located on the side of the grill below the built-in handle on the side shelf. Specifications:

Cooking Area There are three cooking levels in this smoker giving a total cooking space of 1050 square inches. The bottom and largest level measures about 460mm (18 inches) 710mm deep by 28 inches wide. (That’s an additional 3 inches in depth and 6 inches in width from the 560 model). The middle level is approximately 300mm (12 inches) deep, while the top level measures around 200mm (8 inches) deep. Heat Range and control The Masterbuilt 1050 gravity feed charcoal grill has a range of a low 107°C (225°F) and a searingly hot 370°C (700°F). The Temperature is controllable in 5° increments from the on-board digital controller. The huge temperature range allows for every cooking style from Low N Slow through gentle baking, roasting and on to high temperature grilling and flash baking for pizza and flatbread. There are four meat probe ports on the temperature controller, and the 560 ships with 1 probe in the box, additional probes are available. There is an analogue temperature gauge mounted in the lid of the grill, with zones marked for Smoke, Baking/roasting and Grilling, the actual temperature is displayed on the digital controller.
