The Davy Crockett Model comes with a digital control, a meat probe, and a peaked lid, a convenience tray with utensil hooks, hard rubber tires and a venturi-style firebox for cyclone combustion. It also has Sense-Mate, a thermal sensor which constantly monitors the ambient temperature.

When it gets cold outside, it kicks the grill into Turbo mode so you don’t have to wait long for the grill to heat up! Other features include a positive pressure hopper fan to prevent burn-back, “fan only” mode with automatic shut-off to blow ash out of the firebox after you finish grilling. Weight 26kg.

Open Flame Grilling

The Davy Crockett has a two piece drip pan Open Flame Technology. The large drip pan has a grid of small holes and a smaller heat shield on top of that with a corresponding grid of holes. The smaller heat shield slides left to right. When the holes line up, the flame from the fire pot underneath is exposed for true Flame Grilling.

OPERATION

You can power your grill three different ways with the 12v power supply, or direct to a battery or car lighter plug

STARTING THE GRILL

To start the grill, simply press “POWER.”. The grill will slowly cycle through 0-1-2-3. When it first shows a temperature, you may use the up button to choose one other than the default of 150°. You can adjust from 150°-550°.

Digital Control – Control your grill’s temperature from 66°-260°C (150°-550°F) in 5° increments. From smoke to sear, you will have unparalleled temperature accuracy, winter or summer.

Meat Probe – Just plug the probe into the jack on the controller, put it through the access hole in the side of the grill, and insert into the meat. Push the “Food” button on the controller, and it will immediately display the internal temperature of the meat you’re grilling or BBQing.

Firebox – With a 1,412 sq cm (219 sq inch) Cooking surface the Davy Crockett’s firebox has vertical grooves cut evenly on its sides so that the air “whirlwinds” around the fire and gives much more complete combustion due to increased air circulation. This “cyclone” effect means more efficient pellet usage.

Thermal Sensor – Maintain a constant internal temperature year round with a Green Mountain Grill. Your grill will come equipped with an internal thermal sensor that regulates the temperature by adjusting air and pellet flow to maintain a constant internal temperature. Enjoy grilling all year long!

The control App allows the user to set stages in a cooking sequence (Profiles). You can create your own multi stage cooking sequences for different dishes and store them in the App or use a recipe from BBQ pitmaster and run their exact cooking sequence!
